When was the track built?

Ground broke in 2013 and the venue opened in 2023, conceived as a modern motorsport and business hub. The layout blends fast sweeps with strong braking points and generous run-offs for GT and top-level bike racing.

When was its first race?

Balaton Park’s first race season launched in 2023 with opening events, followed by its first international championship rounds in 2024. By 2025 it hosted MotoGP and WorldSBK on a dedicated 4.075 km motorcycle variant.

What's the circuit like?

  • Balanced profile: Combination of high-speed corners, technical chicanes and hairpins to encourage overtaking and setup variation.
  • Benchmark pace: Ferrari Challenge record at 1:34.466; top GT3s and touring cars sit close behind depending on BoP.

Why go?

A brand-new European venue bringing premier two-wheel and strong regional four-wheel racing to the Lake Balaton area with modern facilities and sightlines.
