When was the track built?
Everland Speedway opened in 1995 beside the Everland resort in Yongin, south of Seoul. Originally called Yongin Motor Park, the 2.125 km circuit quickly became an important home for Korean circuit racing at a time when the country had very few permanent motorsport facilities.
The track closed for major redevelopment after the 2008 season. A much larger eastern section was added, including a bridge that allows one part of the circuit to cross over another. The expanded layout was completed in 2011 and eventually returned to public use in 2013.
When was its first race?
Racing began at the original circuit in 1995, and Everland soon became the centre of South Korea's domestic motorsport scene. Korean touring cars and the championship that eventually became today's Superrace series were regular visitors.
The modern extended circuit had a much slower start. Although construction was finished in 2011, it was initially used mainly for manufacturer events and driving experiences. Full championship racing finally returned in 2016 when the Superrace Championship brought competition back to Yongin.
What's the circuit like?
- Fast but technical: Everland has long straights where powerful cars can stretch their legs, followed by slower sections where accurate braking and good traction become more important.
- A crossover layout: The eastern extension includes a bridge, giving the full circuit a figure-eight appearance when viewed from above. The two sections remain completely separated vertically, much like Suzuka in Japan.
- Plenty of changes in rhythm: Drivers move between tight corners, sweeping bends and faster acceleration zones. A setup that works well in one part of the circuit can be a compromise somewhere else.
The full layout includes a back straight of roughly 960 metres, making straight-line speed important, but the large number of corners means a quick car still needs strong braking and handling.

Everland also has a shorter 2.538 km configuration. Its lap records should not be compared directly with times from the full 4.346 km circuit.
Why go?
Everland Speedway is one of the easiest major Korean circuits to reach from the Seoul metropolitan area. Its location also puts visitors beside the huge Everland resort, making it possible to combine motorsport with one of South Korea's best-known leisure destinations.
The circuit hosts the Superrace Championship, Hyundai N Festival and other national events. Crowds can be substantial: more than 35,000 people attended the opening weekend of the 2025 Superrace season.
Since 2018 the venue has also been closely associated with Mercedes-AMG and is commonly known as AMG Speedway.
Where's the best place to watch?
- Main straight and grandstand: The simplest choice for first-time visitors, with the starting grid, pit lane, race starts and finishes all nearby.
- Turn 1: Cars arrive after accelerating along the main straight, making the opening corner a good place to watch braking and first-lap battles.
- Crossover section: Where event access allows, the eastern side provides the most distinctive view of Everland's modern layout as the circuit passes over itself.
Available grandstands and spectator areas vary between events, so check the event map and follow circuit signage when choosing where to watch.

Getting to Everland Speedway (South Korea)
Everland Speedway is a permanent racing circuit in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, beside the Everland Resort complex. Driving is convenient, but visitors from Seoul can also reach the area by express bus, EverLine rail or a pre-booked shuttle bus.
Best way to get there
For most spectators, driving is the simplest way to reach Everland Speedway, particularly if you are attending an early start, night race or full weekend.
Public transport is also realistic because the circuit is beside one of South Korea's largest visitor attractions. You can travel towards Everland by express bus or take the subway network to Giheung and transfer to the EverLine.

- From Seoul: allow plenty of time for traffic when travelling south into Yongin, especially at weekends.
