When was the track built?
The Slovakia Ring project began in 2005, when organisers selected a rural site near Orechová Potôň. Construction started on 1 October 2008, and the completed circuit officially opened exactly one year later.
The facility gave Slovakia its first modern professional racing complex. It later expanded to include karting, rallycross, off-road driving and a road-safety training centre.
What's the circuit like?
- Very long lap: At almost six kilometres, drivers have many corners and braking points to remember before returning to the start line.
- Artificial crests: Four raised sections can make fast cars become light, reducing grip and briefly hiding the road ahead.

Where's the best place to watch?
- Grandstand A: Best for race starts, pit stops, grid activity and the finish from a covered position above the pit lane.
- Grandstand B: Good for the fast approach to Turn 1 and views towards the circuit's later technical section.
- Grandstand E: Offers broad views of the inner circuit, including the fast Turn 2 and several connected corners.
- General Admission D: Close to the outside of Turn 1, where crowded opening laps and braking mistakes are most likely.

Getting to Slovakia Ring (Slovakia)
Slovakia Ring is near Orechová Potôň, around 36 km east of Bratislava. Driving is the easiest option, but visitors without a car can take a train to Orechová Potôň and use an event shuttle when one is provided.
Driving to the circuit
Driving is the simplest way to reach Slovakia Ring. The circuit is surrounded by farmland rather than a large town, but road access from Bratislava is straightforward.
- From Bratislava: take the R7 towards Dunajská Streda and Komárno.
- Near Orechová Potôň: follow signs marked “Automotodrom”.
- From Vienna: driving directly through Bratislava is normally easier than trying to complete the journey entirely by public transport.
- Navigation: search for “Slovakia Ring” or use the coordinates 48.0540, 17.5702.
Allow extra time before major races because traffic can build on the local roads close to the circuit.
Getting there by train
Slovakia Ring can be visited without a car, although you need to check how you will cover the final distance from the railway station.
- Travel to Bratislava Main Station if you are starting elsewhere in the city.
- Take a train towards Orechová Potôň. The circuit currently recommends Leo Express services.
- Get off at Orechová Potôň Station.
- Use an event shuttle if available or arrange a taxi for the remaining journey.
Shuttle buses only operate for selected events, so check the individual race page before depending on one.
Flying in
Bratislava Airport (BTS) is the closest international airport and is approximately 40 km from Slovakia Ring.
- Rental car: the simplest direct option from the airport.
- Without a car: bus 61 connects the airport with Bratislava Main Railway Station, where you can continue by train towards Orechová Potôň.
- Vienna Airport (VIE): another useful option with a much wider range of flights.
- From Vienna Airport: the circuit estimates around 55 minutes by car in good conditions.
If several people are travelling together, hiring a car from either Bratislava or Vienna Airport is usually the easiest race-weekend option.
Parking
Slovakia Ring has large parking areas around the circuit, although the exact spectator parking plan depends on the event.
- Follow event signs: different parking areas may be used for different grandstands.
- Large events: P3 and P4 are commonly used as visitor parking areas.
- Shuttle buses: some major meetings provide free transport between outer parking areas and the main spectator entrances.
- VIP parking: may be included with selected hospitality tickets.

Understanding the circuit
Slovakia Ring is a large modern motorsport complex rather than just one simple race track. The main circuit can be configured in several different ways.

- Main straight: approximately 900 metres long.
- FIA licence: Grade 2.
- Other facilities: karting, a safe-driving centre, off-road area, military museum and other attractions share the site.
